How Remote Online Notarization Works

Use the contact form to describe your document, signer location, number of signers, and preferred time. Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern; weekends by appointment.
Verify Your Identity
Follow the selected platform’s identification steps. Depending on the lawful identification method, these may include credential presentation, credential analysis, and identity proofing. A video call alone is not sufficient.

You sign your document electronically while the notary witnesses via live two-way video. The notary applies a digital seal and electronic signature.
Receive Your Document
Receive the electronic notarized document through the agreed delivery method. Confirm how the recipient wants the file delivered and whether it accepts electronic notarization before the appointment.

What to Confirm Before a RON Session
Have a compatible camera and microphone, a reliable connection, acceptable identification, and the complete digital document. Tell us where each signer and witness will be physically located.
Estate documents, powers of attorney, and remote witnesses can require additional procedures. Florida law includes special safeguards for certain records and vulnerable adults. Ask your attorney or document preparer whether an online signing is appropriate.

Can I use RON for real estate closings?
